– Sign our petitions to Parliaments.
– Attend our events in your local area: stay tuned on social media for more details.
– Welcome the travellers on their long trek: offer some assistance if you can, or just say Hi!
– Think hard about the 2025 elections and Vote 1 – Climate Action.  – Support those candidates who genuinely offer climate solutions. Check out https://350.org.au for ideas.
– Join a Climate Action Group:  Collectively we can make a difference.                                                                                    – Become a Climate Campaigner!

Climate Campaigners  

As a Climate Campaigner, you may be involved in some or all of the above activities.  But you also have a special role: contributing to the power of Petitions to Parliament and spreading the message, Phase Out Gas, amongst your local community.

Petitions are important but all too often they are dismissed unless they get major public attention.  We want to maximize public attention!

As well as compiling as many signatures as possible, we will maintain a log of every kilometre we cycle, drive or walk, on our way to Canberra.  Every kilometre undertaken, is a clear demonstration of our commitment, much more powerful than signatures alone.

But we hope to do much better than that, for we are few and you are many: hence the need for a vibrant cohort of Climate Campaigners.

Climate Campaigners will walk or ride as many kilometres as they safely can in their local districts.  You are encouraged to wear distinctive identification with statements such as PHASE OUT GAS, NO NEW GAS or VOTE 1, CLIMATE ACTION.

Every kilometre Campaigners travel will be added to our totals and, together with the petitions, to show that we, the public, are no longer prepared to accept government inaction and delays on climate change.
