An important component of the Cavalcade is to:

1. Firstly, deliver a petition to the Commonwealth government to immediately halt all further developments of gas exploration, extraction and export and to immediately cease all subsidies to the fossil fuel industry. 

2. Secondly, deliver a petition to the WA state government to show that an overwhelming number of Australians are now making climate action their prime voting priority. 

3. We pledge to deliver your voice to our state and commonwealth governments so that they understand the public’s commitment to climate action.

Our Petition to Government

If you would like to sign our petition for ‘No New Gas’, physical copies of the petition will be available at the Cavalcade Launch event on the 14th of August.  In addition our riders will be taking petition forms with them on their journey, so feel free to say hello and add your name if they pass your way.

Our supporters will also be out and about at climate action events around Perth during the next couple of months with petition forms for you to sign, if you missed our launch event.
