Vote 1: Climate Action

In 2025, make your votes count!
We have a Climate Policy Crisis: yet again!

Successive governments squandered decades on so-called climate wars.  They denied, delayed, dithered and distracted as our world cooked.

Then two years ago the new Labor government promised to take real and effective action on climate change.

This promise is now in question.  More and more permits have been granted for exploration, exploitation and export of coal and gas in direct opposition to expert scientific advice and international obligations.
This we regard as deeply disappointing.

To make matters worse, much worse, the Liberal-National coalition is threatening to to rip up our commitment to the Paris accord, refuses to set meaningful goals towards limiting carbon emissions, is hell bent on establishing nuclear energy despite exorbitant costs, uncertainties, delays and dangers, and wishes to scale back major renewable projects in favor of fossil fuel energy sources.
This we regard as deplorable.

But there is hope.

With elections looming in 2025, you can use your democratic right to have your voice heard.  We encourage you to consider carefully the climate action credentials of the delegates in your electorate and Vote 1 for the Climate!
This we would applaud.
